He Will Be Exalted

"Our God is compassionate.
He is rich in love.
He is full of mercy.
His love is unfailing.
His face is shining here.
Oh God, You are my God and I will ever praise You.
I will seek you in the morning, and I will learn to walk in Your ways. And step by step You lead me and I will follow You all of my days."

Yesterday I was walking to the Children's home in the afternoon and a group of kids from River Side Academy (a school thats between the hotel I live in and the orphanage/the school I teach in) started following me and two of my friends. After being asked a bunch of questions by the kids I began to walk ahead of the group. This young girl (I believe she told me she was 10 years old) caught up with me and held my hand. As we both walked up and down the hills of red dirt together, I began to ask her questions. After getting to know her for a bit, I asked if she had ever heard the name of Jesus before. "No," she replied. I asked her if she had ever heard about God before. She said yes. So I asked her if she would like me to tell her about Jesus. After she said yes, I began to share the Gospel with her. It was a little hard to stay on topic considering everything that was going on around us (we were intrupted by a herd of cows (I'm not even kidding), these three extremely nice old ladies, and the group behind us). Telling her about Jesus and all that He had done on the cross for us, and what He continues to do, starting from Adam and Eve to His coming. By the time I was talking about Jesus dying for the ungodly and sinners, we both had to depart routes. Although I didn't get to talk to her about repentance that leads to salvation, I know a seed was planted. And I pray that I would see her again.

After spending time with the kids at the Children's home and eating dinner, I got back to the hotel and started the book of 2nd Thessalonians and a couple of other chapters in the Bible that my friend Kiki encouraged me to read.

"When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal desruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might, when He comes on that day to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by His power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." - 2nd Thessalonians 1:7-12.

Beginning of the Chapter:
1) He is the one inflicting vengeance.
2) Theres a difference between knowing about God and truly knowing Him.
3) Knowing when one is a Christian= someone who is obedient the Gospel of Jesus (fruit).
4) Not knowing and not obeying = not only suffering the punishment of eternal destruction but being away from the presence of our sweet Jesus.

Rest of the chapter: ALL GRACE, HIS IRRISISTABLE GRACE.

"Be stil and now that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress." -Psalm 46:10-11.

As I try and beat myself up for not sharing the Gospel with every single person I see, He humbles me and reminds me that He doesnt need me, He doesn't need any of us, He chooses to let us take part of His great commission and commands us to do so. Whether I ever get the fruit of the seeds I plant or not, HE WILL BE EXALTED AMONG THE NATIONS, HE WILL BE EXACLTED ON THE EARTH!

"Jesus, nothing compares to this Grace that has rescued me!
Savior, now and forever Your face is all I see!
I'm humbled by the wonder of Your majesty."

"But the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him; in those who hope in His steadfast love." -Psalm 147:11.
